A Hand-bound Glossary Book featuring Words as Gaeilge, and Imagery, about Female Please and Sexuality
Fliuch Glossary features the words I discovered as Gaeilge during my research for the Fliuch project. It is all things female, sex, and sexuality. The book features photography and stills of my video work, where I brought these words and my Fliuch concept to life.
In researching words as Gaeilge for female sexuality and pleasure, I discovered several references; Yet none of these specifically took a woman’s point of view. Thus, the necessity to have the fliuch glossary as a physical output; It acts as a tool of cultural production from a female perspective, encouraging Gaeilge into uncharted realms and questioning value systems.
A true testament to the domestic connotations of Irish women, this book was hand-bound.
